Problem

In Policy Studio, the options for File > Export > Policy Package and File > Export > Environment Package are disabled. The option File > Export > Deployment Package may also result in a .tar.gz file instead of a .fed file.

Resolution

The option to export Policy and Environment packages is disabled when using the YAML entity store, because this does environmentalization differently, instead of using Configuration Studio with .pol and .env files. The YAML entity store also exports a .tar.gz file as the Deployment Package instead of a .fed file. More details can be found in the documentation for environmentalizing YAML entity stores. It is also possible for all three options to be disabled when you do not have a configuration open, because there is nothing to export in that case.
