How to set CFT/400 protocol traces

First, CFT monitor must already be started

Be careful:
· file trcfnam=CFTPROD1/ftrc1 will be created by trcfile command
· file ofname=CFTPROD1/formtrc1 must be created by  CRTPF, length = 132.
  Ex: CRTPF FILE(CFTPROD1/FORMTRC1) RCDLEN(132)

Steps:

1 / On CFT command line, execute:
CALL CFTTRACE

2 / then type:
config type=com,mediacom=file,fname=CFTPROD1/com1 + ENTRY to validate

trcfile type=trace,trcfnam=CFTPROD1/ftrc1,trclrec=2048,trcftyp=standard +ENTRY

settrc id=trc1,trcfnam=CFTPROD1/ftrc1  + ENTREE

starttrc id=trc2,tid=trc1,ftrace=5  + ENTREE

Note: ftrace=5 to get file traces
         ptrace=5 to get protocol traces

Leave CFTTRACE command mode if necessary and

3 / Execute the transfer

4 / stoptrc id=trc2
    ( on CFTTRACE command mode :
     call CFTTRACE, then config type=com,mediacom=file,fname=CFTPROD1/com1)

5 / extract ifname=CFTPROD1/ftrc1,ofname=CFTPROD1/formtrc1,content=full,present=intall

CFTPROD1/formtrc1 includes formatted traces
