About the Administration workbench

Use the options available in the Administration workbench to define user rights and create Environments and Folders.

The Administration workbench provides several tabs in the left pane:

• User: displays a list of users in the local Entity. Administrators can create new users, modify the properties for existing users and delete users.
• Group: displays a list of Groups, or user profiles, in the local Entity. Via the Group, you can define rights for a group of users.
• Environment: displays a list of Environments. Administrators can create new Environments or modify the properties of existing Environments.
• Folder: displays a list of all Folders in the local Entity. Administrators can create new Folders, and can modify or delete existing Folders.

Via the Administration workbench, you assign user rights to Composer Users. Each user right that you define corresponds to an operation on a specific object type, or even a specific object instance in the case of Axway Servers and Folders. The list of available objects depends on the Axway products that you have installed.

The set of objects and actions available to a user in the Topography workbench and the Integration-Services workbench depends on the access rights that you assign in the Administration workbench.
