Overview

To link Integrator and Gateway for the exchange of messages, you create two Channels in Composer:

Before you can create the Channels, you must create:

Creating a Channel for Integrator reception from Gateway

  1. In the Composer Integration-Services workbench, Transport tab /Hierarchy sub-tab, right-click the Axway Server object that represents Integrator and then select Channel from the context menu.
  2. Composer displays the Channel properties window.
  3. Complete the General tab:

    Field Contents
    Name Enter a name for the Channel. For example, ReceiveFromGateway.
    Label Optionally enter a description.
    Status You cannot directly change the status in this field.
    Endpoints
    Terminus1 From the drop-down list, select Axway Server. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Axway Server object that represents the Integrator Server.
    Terminus2 From the drop-down list, select Axway Server. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Axway Server object that represents the Gateway Server.
    Connection parameters
    Connection type Select TCP / Gateway
    Connection point 1 Select Gateway
    Connection point 2 Select CommPoint1 - Gateway
  4.  In the Connection point 1 tab, select the Receiver in the Receiver or Sender field.
  5. In the Receive criteria section, select one or more message reception options.

    Reception option Description
    Trading Partners (DEAID)

    Select this option if your Gateway is connected to PassPort to for Partner definitions.

    Enter an address in the Originator Document Exchange Address (DEA) field to accept messages from a specified DEA.

    EDIINT Select this option to receive EDIINT messages.
    Others Select this option to receive all messages emitted from the Gateway-configured originating SITE;
  6. Check, save and close the object.

Creating a Channel Integrator sending to Gateway

  1. In the Composer Integration-Services workbench, Transport tab /Hierarchy sub-tab, right-click the Axway Server object that represents Integrator and then select Channel from the context menu.
  2. Composer displays the Channel properties window.
  3. Complete the General tab:

    Name Enter a name for the Channel. For example, SendToGateway.
    Label Optionally enter a description.
    Status You cannot directly change the status in this field.
    Endpoints
    Terminus1 From the drop-down list, select Axway Server. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Axway Server object that represents the Integrator Server.
    Terminus2 From the drop-down list, select Axway Server. Then from the Instance field drop-down list, select the Axway Server object that represents the Gateway Server.
    Connection parameters
    Connection type Select TCP / Gateway
    Connection point 1 Select Gateway
    Connection point 2 Select CommPoint1 - Gateway
  4.  In the Connection point 1 tab, select Sender in the Receiver or Sender field. Accept the defaults for Transfer timeout and Retry.
  5. In the Send criteria section, select one or more message sending options.

    Reception option Description
    Trading Partners (DEAID)

    This option enables you to define the Trading Partner where you want to send the incoming file from the previous step of the integration process. Gateway uses this reference to a Trading Partner to consult PassPort for the parameters to create the transfer in Gateway.

    Override attributes

    Select this option to override the default set of transfer attributes provided by the Integrator Gateway Connector.

    If you are not using PassPort, the DEAID must be overriden to blank.
  6. Check, save and close the object.
