Starting Axway Sentinel Event Router

Prerequisite

Using the Axway Installer, install the Axway Sentinel Event Router.

For details about Axway product installation, refer to the Axway 5 Suite Installation and Prerequisites Guide.

Starting the Event Router

UNIX

Go to <Event Router install directory>/bin
Launch the program
../conf/profile.
In the same session, enter
./agtcmd -start

Windows (non-service mode)

Do one of the following:

Use the Windows menu

From the Windows Start menu, select All Programs > Axway Software > Synchrony Axway EventRouter> SentinelEventRouter > Start Event Router

Use the startup script

Go to <Event Router install directory>\conf and launch the program profile.
Then launch the script:
agtstart.bat

Windows service mode

You can configure the Sentinel Event Router to run as a Windows service. This causes the application to start and stop with the machine on which it is installed.

If you need to start the Sentinel Event with Windows running:

From the Windows Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
Windows displays the Services window.
Scroll down the Services list and right-click the Axway Sentinel Event Router service.
From the context menu, select Start.
