Unable to download MailGate appliance license
When I try to download the licenses, it is failing.
For new installations:
There are a few network settings that can break this process.
The most common of which are proxy servers. If you are using a proxy server on your network you must allow outgoing unauthenticated http access from MailGate's IP address to updates.axway.com.
All license download information happens via port 80 http.
Other causes:
> firewalls that restrict outgoing port 80
> incorrectly configured or missing DNS settings
For MailGate appliance replacements:
When a license is generated, and after the MailGate system downloads that license, then the license is binded to the MailGate's MAC address on the Network Interface Card (NIC)
If you replace the system, then a new license must be generated for that new appliance, because the new NIC has a different MAC address.
