EMF Archive Directory Location
This article was previously published as ID#28078
Summary:
EMF contains an option to save copies of messages being processed to text files. These messages can be:
- forwarded to a mailbox, or
- can be written to disk
This article describes the disk location used by option 2.
Detailed Information:
Messages processed by EMF can be archived to disk using any policy category with the exception of the following two:
1.) Attachments Category: 'Convert UUENCODED Attachments to MIME Format'
2.) Headers Category
Messages are written to a raw text file on disk compliant with the RFC-2822 formatting standard. Messages can also be viewed using any standard text Editor like Windows Notepad.
In EMF the 'Archive Directory' location is setup during installation.
The 'Archive Directory' is not exposed in the WebAdmin interface. If you need to verify the current location of this file directory, you can reference the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tumbleweed\MMS\Archive Service Configuration]
"Root Directory"="C:\Program Files\Tumbleweed\Email Firewall\Archive"
Likewise, you can edit this registry String Value and reference an alternate location.
NOTE: this registry path is only installed on the server running the Archive Service.
Additional Information:
