Redirect broken after upgrade to MMS 5.5
This article was previously published as ID#29069

Summary:
Redirect from MMS 5.0 to IME 5.0 (or 5.0.5) was working fine, but after upgrading MMS to 5.5, connectivity seems to be lost.

Symptom:
You may see the following (or similar) error in the event log:

IDL:omg.org/CORBA/NO_RESOURCES:1.0
The connection to the IME Naming Service failed for Server
o Name : 'server.domain.com'
o IP Address : '10.1.123.45'
o Port Number : '2500'
o Corba IP Filter : '*'
Please verify if the IME Naming Service is up on the IME side and the redirect machine is allowed to connect to the IME Naming Service.

Detailed Information:
Take note that communications between MMS and IME have changed with the 5.5 upgrade. If there is a firewall between the servers, the port numbers you need to open will be different.

Resolution:
See the Secure Redirect Administrator's Guide (5.5) section 2.4 for specific details. The ports involved may vary depending on what else is configured in the environment.
