VA - Troubleshooting Validation Authority

Summary

What actions should be taken before raising a Validation Authority case with support?

Details

When submitting a request to Axway support, please do the following:

  1. Login to the Validation Authority admin UI
  2. Navigate to Logs | Log Settings
    • Click on Generate Debug Logs
    • Click Submit
    • Click on the restart link
  3. Click on Stop Server
  4. Click on Start Server
  5. Reproduce the issue 3-5 times and note the time of reproduction.
  6. Upload the following files to a Secure Transport account provided by support:
    • valicert.ini
    • vastats.csv
    • va_stdout & va_stdout.txt (if they exist)
    • All files from the Logs folder from after turning on debug logs
  7. Let support know that the files have been uploaded for review.
