Problem

• SecureClient Scheduler service starts and immediately stops again.
• There is "The Axway Secure Client Scheduler service terminated with service-specific error Incorrect function..." in the Windows Event log.

Resolution

This is usually due to leftover Java processes from previous sessions. Stopping the leftover Java processes (java.exe *32 and javaw.exe *32) would allow the Scheduler service to launch as expected. This can be done using Windows Task Manager.
