-- Is there a hard limit on the number of records transferred versus what is documented to be supported?

-- Is it dependent on the type/format of the file being transferred? 

-- How high a limit does the code actually support?

Resolution

-- In PELS , documented max records limitation has never been implemented.

Note: For performance reasons (block and record management) it is recommended to switch to PELHV protocol where the max records number is  up to 2,147,483,647
