Transfer fails with "file not found" when the data set is on EAV (Extended Address Volume)

Problem

Transfer CFT 3.0.1 for z/os

Z/os 2.1

Transfer fails with "file not found" when the data set is on EAV

CFTF02E local file selection error 000003E4 <IDTU=A000195V PART=MYPART IDF=MY_IDF IDT=I2402495>

CFTF30W SFM_ALLOC : file not found <IDTU=A000195V PART=MYPART IDF=MY_IDF IDT=I2402495>

CFTF30W U=USERAB1 F=FILE.ON.EAV.TEST.EXTENDED <IDTU=A000195V PART=MYPART IDF=MY_IDF IDT=I2402495>

CFTT82E transfer aborted <IDTU=A000195V PART=MYPART IDF=MY_IDF IDT=I2402495 110 000003E4>

Resolution

This is a bug in Transfer CFT in regards of EAV support and system level.

The system version is tested to ensure it support EAV and to make use of the matching routine.

Unfortunately, the flag for the system version is wrongly computed when z/os 2.1 and the EAV routine not called as expected for such a file. It makes the allocation impossible.

Issue is fixed in Patch to apply over the SP10
