Is a daily CFT reboot beneficial in terms of performance?

Problem

Is a daily CFT reboot beneficial in terms of performance?

An heavy loaded monitor shows after a week about 13 hours CPU, more than 156 millions of I/O and 4 millions lines in the Sysout (for the CFT log)

Resolution

A daily restart should not have any benefice on the overall performances.

Memory and CPU usage are related to the product settings and will grow within the limit of the parameters during the transfer load.

For the memory usage, it will stop growing and CFT will reused already allocated memory accordingly.

CPU consumption depends also of the load and tasks settings (see CFTPARM).

The only advantage in keeping a restart on a regular interval is to minimize the spool occupation in regards of the monitor SYSOUT.
