Problem

Importing a DV config file to a system with DV installed fails with the following error messages: "Desktop Validator config input failed, see event log for details." The error message in the event log is: "Read from config file failed."

Resolution

This is caused by a version mismatch. The version in the configuration file doesn't match the version of the Desktop Validator the file is being imported into. Edit the version in the configuration file to match or export the configuration from the same DV version.
