KB Article #65922
Event IDs for Microsoft Windows Event Log
Problem
* Desktop Validator logs different event IDs for certificate validation results. This feature will allow System Administrators to filter out and monitor the event log entries based on the validation status.
Resolution
-- Event ID 1 - Information, Warning, Error - System configuration changes and other notifications from DV. All messages that do not involve certificate validation fall into this category
-- Event ID 10 - Audit Success - Successful validation of the certificate with status VALID
-- Event ID 11 - Audit Success - Validation is inhibited for specified certificate
-- Event ID 12 - Audit Success - DV was unable to successfully validate certificate in question. Returning GOOD status (per configuration option)
-- Event ID 13 - Audit Failure - Successful validation of the certificate with status REVOKED
-- Event ID 14 - Audit Failure - DV was unable to successfully validate certificate in question. Returning REVOKED status (per configuration option)
-- Event ID 15 - Error - Successful validation attempt of the certificate with status UNKNOWN
-- Event ID 16 - Error - DV encountered connectivity problems trying to validate the certificate
-- Event ID 17 - Error - Certificate path validation failed for specified certificated.
