DV - Troubleshooting Desktop Validator

Summary

What actions should be taken before raising a Desktop Validator case with support?

Details

When submitting a request to Axway Support, please do the following:


  1. Open Desktop Validator from the Start Menu or System Tray
  2. Click on the Logging tab
  3. Enable File Logging
    • Select All
    • Click OK (DV will restart)
  4. Reproduce the issue 3-5 times and note the time of reproduction.
  5. Export the DV configuration file in text format by going to the Import/Export
  6. Upload the following files to the Secure Transport account provided by support:
    • DesktopValidator.log
    • DV configuration
  7. Let support know that the files have been uploaded for review.
