After installing API Gateway, you see an error message saying "Problem running post-install step."

Problem

When installing API Gateway, you see an error message like the following:


Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly.

No origin file found that matched C:\Users\username\desktop\API Gateway.lic

Resolution

This may happen if the installer was unable to copy the license file to /apigateway/conf/licenses for any reason. Your installation is fine, just copy the license file to the /conf/licenses/ directory of your installation and everything will work. If you used the quick start option to start any gateways or the node manager service, restart them after copying the file to ensure that they detect your license.
