How to prohibit a transfer to start when the file to send is empty (0 Kbyte)

Resolution

There is no option to get CFT automatically refuse to start a transfer when the file to be sent is found as an empty file.

The feature is achievable from a Pre-exec procedure, we do not provide any sample in

the delivery but it exists many ways to check the file size to prevent the transfer to be started

Example:

On a z/OS, printing the 1st record of the file using IDCAMS utility and then testing the Return Code is an easy way the achieve the feature.
