Problem

Trying to apply a Patch on Transfer CFT 3.2.4 SP1

Error messages:

SynPatchManager.java:2847 WARN com.axway.installer.updates.exceptions.InvalidUpdateException: Update Transfer_CFT_3.2.4_SP1_Patch2 cannot be applied over this type of installation. Check the documentation for more information.

Other warning message found in the Install.log:

WARN Error deriving Axway Defence key in directory D:\CFT\V324
java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\CFT\V324\com.axway.installer\key_1.bin (Access is denied)

Resolution

Ensure to select the .zip file format of the Patch or SP to apply.

When selecting a Patch or a SP from the Installer, the original .zip file is expected and not the embedded .jar file.
