Both variables target the same filename ?

CFTLOG=/applis/07729-cnx00/cftHA/Transfer_CFT/runtime/log/cftlog
CFTLOGA=/applis/07729-cnx00/cftHA/Transfer_CFT/runtime/log/cftlog

It makes the 'good old witch' unusable.

Resolution

Rename the CFTLOGA into cftloga as filename to use the SWITCH log feature.

The delivery cannot be done with preset variable to support the SWITCH as this will cause a significant behavior change for all our customers.

Indeed, we have 3 ways to save logs:

*rotate.cmd
*switch.cmd
*internal CFT procedure

Unfortunately, if we change the default values, we can no longer ensure compatibility with this 3 modes.
