How to manually update Composer certificates after PassPort 2019 certificate renewal ?
Problem
On the 9th of August, the SSO CA certificate will expire.
On the 28th of November 2019, the root Certificate Authority will expire
To fix this you have 2 choices:
1/ Full Manual procedure
Step 1:
- Download the kestore.jks, truststorePassPort.jks and truststoreSSO.jks attached to this article.
- Copy these jks files in the following path
<Composer installation>Common\config\certs
by replacing the existing ones - Restart Composer Server
Step 2:
If you still encounter errors after applying Step 1 please apply the following steps:
- With PassPort running:
- Delete: <Composer installation>\Composer\extras\PassPort\csr.properties
- Delete: <Composer installation>\Composer\composer\webconfig\keystore.jks
- Restart Composer Server
2/ Install the latest 3.8.0 SP24 followed by the manual procedure below:
Step 1:
- Download the truststorePassPort.jks and truststoreSSO.jks attached to this article.
- Copy these jks files in the following path
<Composer installation>Common\config\certs
by replacing the existing ones - Restart Composer Server
Step 2:
If you still encounter errors after applying Step 1 please apply the following steps:
- With PassPort running:
- Delete: <Composer installation>\Composer\extras\PassPort\csr.properties
- Delete: <Composer installation>\Composer\composer\webconfig\keystore.jks
- Restart Composer Server
Addendum:
If using a Composer SP23 or older installation and running Passport SP20 Server, Composer must be upgraded to SP24 then follow the procedure explained above.
