Problem

We need to convert a file from ANSI to UTF-8. Which settings could be suitable in Advanced Routing Encoding Conversion step to display correctly all letters and special characters like degree sign or degree symbol (°).

Resolution

To achieve the above requirements we could set following in the Encoding Conversion step:

Source File Encoding - ISO 8859-1 (Latin 1 encoding)

Output File Encoding - UTF-8
