When and why a password is required when using pelstart?

The pelstart command requires password when File Encryption method is either set to either:

"Ciphering of administration files only (all except the Mailbox) " (Admin)
or
"Ciphering of all data files, including the Mailbox"  - (All)

To know the password to start Interpel, go to the "data" folder of your installation and check the password in "passfile" file. Supply the password whenever it prompts.

To disable this option you have do the following steps from command prompt:

1) Go to run_time/etc of your installation.
2) Run the profile command.
3) Run the pelsetup command
4) Select Option 2 i.e. Miscellaneous parameters
5) Check if the "Data files ciphering option" under "FILE ENCRYPTION"
6) Select the Option "No ciphering of any data files" - (None)
7) Generate setup script from main menu
8) Apply setup main menu.
9) Run profile again
10) Restart Interpel
