Abend 301 when never stopping the monitor (during 100 days), issue due to buffer allocation.

How to avoid Abend 301 due to not even frequent BUF1SP buffer purge


Resolution

This abend 301 due to no BUF1SP buffer purge.

The BUF1SP is used, between other things, to store transfer requests in server mode.
So, it is necessary to take into account the number of transfers in server mode (status 9).



It is necessary to purge too old flows
It is recommended, and even mandatory, to do a stop/restart each week, or, as a minimum, each month.
