How to upgrade from CFT 2.6.3 to CFT 2.7.0 using an Upgrade Pack.

An UPGRADE of the product replaces the existing version of software with the newer version.  It can be run on a component-basis.  This upgrade is performed through "UpgradePacks" and are applied in the same way as a normal Service Pack upgrade.

Here is the process:

Upgrade from CFT 2.6.3 to 2.6.4

Prereqs:

A - Backup your current CFT installation
B - Ensure that CFT Server and Co-Pilot are stopped

1 - Download the following UpgradePack from either the Axway Support website, or from the HTTPs site listed below:  

Transfer_CFT_2.6.3_linux-x86-64_UP-to-2.6.4_RC4_1004081323.jar.  Please ensure that this file is on the system that you wish to upgrade, and is accessible from the current Synchrony Installer.

2- Run the Synchrony Installer in Upgrade mode (./setupUNIX.sh Update).  This installer is located in your current CFT 2.6.3 installation (usually /Axway/Synchrony/).

3- After the installer launches, select the option to apply an Update/Service Pack.

4- Navigate to where the file listed in step 1 is located

5- Allow the installer to complete.

6- Your CFT is now upgraded from version 2.6.3 to 2.6.4.

Upgrade from CFT 2.6.4 to 2.7.0

1 - Download the following UpgradePack from either the Axway Support website, or from the HTTPs site listed below:  Transfer_CFT_2.7.0_UP1-

from-2.6.4_linux-x86-64_BN4635.  Please ensure that this file is on the system that you wish to upgrade, and is accessible from the current

Synchrony Installer.

2- Run the Synchrony Installer in Upgrade mode (./setupUNIX.sh Update).  This installer is located in your current CFT 2.6.3 installation

(usually /Axway/Synchrony/).

3- After the installer launches, select the option to apply an Update/Service Pack.

4- Navigate to where the file listed in step 1 is located

5- Allow the installer to complete.

6- Your CFT is now upgraded to version 2.7.0.
