Managing user connections

You can use the Connected User Browser to view which users are connected, send them messages and disconnect them when necessary.

To display the Connected User Browser, click Display connected user browser icon on the toolbar in the Administration workbench. Alternatively, select Connected User Browser from the Tools menu.

The Connected User Browser lists the users connected. For each user the following information is provided:

User ID
Label
Hostname
IP address
Connection Date (and time)

Sending messages to connected users

Select the rows corresponding to the user(s) to whom you want to send a message.
Click the icon in the browser toolbar.
Type the message you want to send in the small dialog box that opens and click Yes.
The user(s) receive(s) the information message immediately.

Disconnecting connected users

Select the rows corresponding to the user(s) you want to disconnect.
Click the icon in the browser toolbar.
The selected users are disconnected from the application.

Viewing objects locked by connected users

In the Administration workbench, from the Connected User Browser, you can view which objects are locked by which users. To do so click on the icon in the toolbar. This opens the Locked Object Browser that displays all the objects locked by a given user and enables you to unlock one or more of those objects as required (depending on your user rights).
