Summary:

Error 554 is returned from the server to which MMS is trying to send. The target server could not process the message you sent for one or more of the following reasons:

- The Recipient Mailbox has a problem.
- The Recipient Mailbox was part of a Mailing List and is no longer on that list.
- It could not validate your Security Level if you are using Encrypted email.
- The message was malformed along the way during transport.
- The remote server has an Internal Error.

Symptom:

- returned message
- various 554 error types can be received at the SMTP (trace) level

Detailed Information:

ERROR 554 Transaction failed is the Standard error code returned between SMTP Servers.

Resolution:

Contact the Remote Administrator or Recipient to see if they can fix the problem.
