Automatic Virus Pattern Update fails - MMS 4.x

Summary:
Automatic Update of Virus Patterns fails to work. Virus patterns can be updated by pressing the Update Patterns Now button from within the console.

Symptom:
Component Name: Virus Pattern Update
Event Description: Virus Pattern File Update Failed
The McAfee virusUpdatethread has failed to successfully contact the virus pattern file server.

Detailed Information:
Automatic Virus Pattern updates are executed by the MMS Monitor service. This service logs in with a "local system" account which may have insufficient permissions to do the update.

When an administrator clicks the "Update Now" button, the Admin's access rights are used.

Resolution:
In the Services Control Panel, go to properties for the MMS Monitor service, and set it to log on with an Administrator login and password.
