Upon search for LDAP users (Admin UI > Administration > Users and Groups > Users) or LDAP administrators (Admin UI > Administration > Users and Groups > Administrators), only locally stored users and administrators are returned - even though these exist in the LDAP.

NOTE:   The recipient verification works fine. The UI appears to be either slow or unable to properly display the results in a timely fashion.

When you search for users and administrators in the UI, MailGate sends LDAP queries to your LDAP server. This query, unlike recipient verification, has wildcards before and after the search string.

If the LDAP server responds slowly in general, you may need to increase the LDAP timeout period in the LDAP settings.
