KB Article #161947
Finished jobs are filling up a lot of disk space and causing application slowdown
Problem
- The %USERHOME%/AppData/Roaming/axway/SecureClient/data/finished directory is filled up with thousands of files and taking up a lot of disk space.
- The performance of the SecureClient is significantly decreased.
Resolution
SecureClient keeps records of the last X finished jobs, where X is a definable parameter. This can be changed by going to the UI Tools -> Preferences -> Log Maintenance tab (or, in 6.x, Preferences -> Preferences -> Log Maintenance), and changing the value of the "Max finished jobs to keep" parameter.
The files for the jobs will then be purged from the %USERHOME%/AppData/Roaming/axway/SecureClient/data/finished directory, and also will be removed from the Schedule tab of the SecureClient UI.
NOTE: The finished jobs purge agent is initiated when SecureClient starts up. In other words, unless SecureClient is restarted, the number of finished jobs will continue to grow, even above the value set for "Max finished jobs to keep."
