Does the Processing Engine (PE) assigned to a certain CommAdapter/TA/HME, run/load JVM ?

Resolution

Context:
- depending on the Integrator version and SP level the above list may cover completely the subject; in any cases, ask Support/RD to confirm;


A) PE runs JVM in these situations:
1)- PE assigned to CommAdapters/TA for: JMS, WS(Provider mode),  XMS, MQ, INTERCHANGE, SAP(with ALE), ProcessManager
2)- PE assigned to HME running (JMC, DML cu  JCF,  mapbroker SAP(Commadapter SAP without ALE), WS(Consumer mode), JDBC(Commadapter JDBC), Passport(Commadapter Passport)).
 
B) PE doesn't run JVM in these situations:
1)- PE assigned to CommAdapters/TA for: FTP, EMAIL, XFB,  HTTP, ORACLE SP, ACP, API ACP, SENTINEL
2) Mapping/SequentialActivities having compiled MBC (*.x4) without JAVA code inside
