CFT is registered in CG but assigned roles appear not working?

User is declared in CG with the Transfer CFT Administrator role

Logon to the Copilot GUI and CFTUTIL command like CFTEXT or UCONFSET are not working.

Error messages:

Identification rejected. Authentication failed for username "ADMCFT"

CFTU26E CFTEXT _ Error ( Command not authorized cs=000003E4)

CFTU26E UCONFSET _ Error ( Command not authorized cs=000003E4)

Message in the Transfer CFT SYSOUT:

IDC3506I REQUIRED VOLUMES AND/OR DEVICETYPES HAVE BEEN OMITTED

Resolution

The user rights are retrieved from CG ROLES and then duplicated into a cache file in the CFT environment.

The VSAM Cache file CFTAM is automatically created by CFT.

Transfer CFT get the UserID rights from that file.

In the reported issue, the CFT SYSOUT shows an issue allocating that file:
IDC3506I REQUIRED VOLUMES AND/OR DEVICETYPES HAVE BEEN OMITTED

Check the CFTAM has been successfully created.

Issue to created that file can be rights, non SMS managed file, missing volumes.....

A SGTRACE 207 can provide more details about the file creation issue.
