Using the Server Browser

About the Server Browser

The Server Browser enables you to display all objects that are currently on a Server (Committed or ToBeCommitted status), on the selected Axway Server (Transfer CFT, ProcessManager Server, AccountingIntegrator Manager, and so on).

The Server Browser is available in both the Topography workbench and the Integration-Services workbench and displays:

Axway Servers to which you have the required user rights.
common objects and Axway product-specific objects that you define in the Integration-Services workbench. It does not list objects that do not belong to Folders, that is, Topography objects.

Via the Server Browser, you can perform the following actions:

Commit an object (Transfer CFT only)
Remove an object from Server
Display the properties of an object (in read only mode)
Analyze object dependencies

How to use the Server Browser

To display the Server Browser, click on the toolbar. Alternatively, select Server Browser from the Tools menu.

The Browser comprises three panes, as displayed in the following diagram.

Using the Axway Server hierarchy pane

The Hierarchical View tab displays the set of Servers available for this user in a tree-structure. It shows the hierarchical view of the Hosts and HostGroups for each authorized Axway Server.

From the tree-structure, select a Server to display the set of objects attached to it. All objects on the selected Axway Server are displayed in the right pane. To restrict the list of objects displayed, use the Filter pane.

The Axway Server View tab displays a flat list of Servers available for this user.

From the list of Axway Servers, select a Server to display the set of objects attached to it. All objects on the selected Axway Server are displayed in the right pane. To restrict the list of objects displayed, use the Filter pane.

Using the Filter pane

Use the Filter pane to restrict the set of objects displayed in the right pane.

Depending on the Axway products installed, the Filter pane displays an additional set of product-specific objects. To filter the set of object types displayed in the right pane, select objects by type. Alternatively, click:

to select all objects

to clear the current selection

to invert the current selection

The selected objects are displayed in the right pane.

Using the right pane

The right pane of the Server Browser functions in exactly the same way as in the Entity Browser.

Using the horizontal toolbar

Via the Server Browser, you can perform the actions described in the following table. All actions are available from both the Browser toolbar and the right-click contextual menu.

Icon	Description
	Display the selected object properties window. You can select an object from the list in the right pane or from the list in the upper left pane.
	Remove the selected object from a Server. You can only remove an object from a Server via the Server Browser if the object belongs to the current WorkFolder.
	Commit an object that has the status ToBeCommitted. Transfer CFT only
	Refresh all information in the Server Browser.
	Display the Object Dependencies Browser for the selected object.
	Export the selected object.
