Displaying objects in the right pane
An Entity is the repository users connect to when they log on to Axway Composer.
An Entity comprises:
Each Entity is made up of Folders, which are similar to standard Windows folders or directories. Folders provide separate, distinct workplaces for storing and defining objects. The existence of independent Folders allows users to group objects together, for example, all the objects related to a single project, or all the objects defined by one user. The Entity Browser lists all objects to which you have authorized access in the Composer repository. The Browser provides a search tool that enables you to locate objects quickly, depending on the criteria that you specify. For example, you can search for objects created by a particular user, or objects with a given life cycle status. Alternatively, you can restrict the search to a specific object type or to a given Folder.
Use the Entity Browser to:
While the left pane only provides access to authorized WorkFolders and Environments in the local Entity, the Entity Browser also provides access to all the PrebuiltFolders in the local Entity.However, objects that you display from the Entity Browser are for consultation only and cannot be modified. To modify an object, you must open the Properties window from the left pane.

To display the Entity Browser,
click
on the toolbar. Alternatively, select Entity
Browser from the Tools
menu.
The Entity Browser comprises three principal panes:

The set of objects displayed in the right pane depends on:
Click the Folder tab to display the Folders and sub-Folders that belong to the current Entity (the root Folder in the tree structure). This tab only displays Folders to which you have authorized access.
Select a Folder on the Folder tab to display all the objects it contains in the right pane. Select the root Folder to display all objects in the current Entity.
Since a Folder can contain a large number of objects, the Entity Browser provides a filter mechanism to restrict the set of objects displayed in the right pane. The Filter pane lists all available object types, depending on the Axway component installed with Composer.
From the list, select the object types that you want to display. Alternatively, use the following buttons to make mass selections. Click:
to select all objects
to clear the current selection
to invert the current selection
The right pane displays the list of objects in the selected Folder and that correspond to the object types selected in the Filter pane. The following table lists the maximum set of columns displayed in the right pane:

You can perform the following actions on the columns in the right pane:
To resize a column, click the splitter bar between two column headings and drag the bar to the left or right.
Right-click a column heading to display the list of possible columns (Name, Object type...). A check mark next to a column name indicates that this column is currently displayed in the right pane.
To add a column that is not currently displayed, select the column name in the list.
To remove a column that is currently displayed (with a check mark next to the column name), select the column name in the list.
To reorder items in a list, click the column heading. An arrow next to the column heading indicates whether the items in the list are sorted in ascending order or in descending order. To change the order, click the column heading again.
