Redirect Remote Client Error 187 ... cannot lock session

This error message, seen in the MMS Redirect log, may indicate that the IME account configured for use by MMS Redirect has been modified. The MMS Redirect configuration contains the values of an IME account and password. This is usually the IME admin account. Often the cause of a mis-match between the MMS stored settings and the actual IME account values is a password change on the IME system. Always ensure that the MMS Redirect account and password are in sync between the IME and MMS applications.

When a mis-match occurs between IME and MMS Redirect account settings, MMS will retry the failed connection, and will continue to try new messages to be redirected. This will usually result in IME locking out the account. IME is typically configured to allow 10 login retries before locking out the account. If the account has been locked out, you must unlock the account from IME. See the article 29272 for details on unlocking the IME admin account.
