About the Broadcast Browser

The Broadcast Browser enables you to track the progress of all broadcast operations that you launch from the navigator pane or from the Entity Browser. For details, seeSending objects to Server, Committing objects and Removing objects from Server.

Alternatively, you can use the Browser to create a new broadcast object for each type of broadcast operation. You can then drag-and-drop:

After you start a broadcast operation, you can continue working on other object definitions. Via the Browser, you can intervene manually in the broadcast process to restart, cancel or force a broadcast. In addition, you can duplicate a broadcast in order to create a new broadcast based on an existing broadcast (AccountingIntegrator).

Displaying the Broadcast Browser

To open the Broadcast Browser, click Broadcast browser icon on the toolbar or select Broadcast Browser from the Tools menu.

Axway Server

This field displays the name of the Axway Server(s) on which you perform the broadcast operation.

If you create the broadcast in the Browser, you must drag-and-drop an Server from the navigator pane or the Entity Browser to this field.

In some cases, the Axway Server is already specified in the definition of the object that you send to Server.

For example, when you send an Integrator Integration-Task to Server, you do not need to specify the Axway Server because it is already specified in the Integration-Task definition.

For example, if the broadcast was forced on the selected Server, the status field displays Broadcast operation manually forced on server in error indicator Forced.

  • start the broadcast operation from the workbench
  • drag-and-drop the Server to the Broadcast Browser

The Selected objects tab lists the objects selected for the broadcast.

If you create the broadcast from the Browser, you can drag-and-drop objects to this tab from the navigator pane or from the Entity Browser.

History tab

The History tab displays the history and status of the current broadcast. For example, if you send the object to several Axway Servers, this tab shows which Servers have responded and in which order.

In addition, this tab displays log information about errors that may have occurred. It displays a summary description of the error in the Trace field and a hypertext link to the log file on the Composer client machine.
