Axway Messaging access management via PassPort: General implementation procedure

Installing the products

Use the Axway Installer to install the following products:

• Database
• Axway PassPort
• Axway Messaging
Installation details

During Axway Messaging installation, in the Do you want to use security control? drop-down list, select PassPort AM. Then enter values for the PassPort connection:

• Component username: Enter the PassPort user name
• Component password: Enter the PassPort user password

Note the name of the Messaging Server instance (Instance ID value) that you are installing. In PassPort, the name that you attribute to the instance object that represents this server must have the same value.

Checking the installation

Configure Messaging

Axway Messaging settings for communication with PassPort are configured during installation. There are no additional configuration tasks necessary in Messaging after installation.
