About this procedure

This procedure uses both partner management (PM) and security (PS) functions of PassPort.

Prerequisites

Use the Axway Installer to install:

Axway Database (or a compatible third-party database)
Gateway and Gateway Navigator
- During Gateway installation, select Gateway as the access manager (do not select PassPort AM for this example).
- PassPort must be stopped when you install Gateway.
- To avoid problems, make sure that you have Gateway and Gateway Navigator installed at the same service pack and patch level.
PassPort
- Axway Database (or third party database) must be running.

Start products

4	Start Gateway Navigator and connect to Gateway

Set up PassPort for interoperation with Gateway

1	Check the PassPort configuration
2	Define a password policy (optional)
3	Import the Gateway partner management package to PassPort
4	Create a security entity and certificate
5	Create a remote partner

Create protocols in PassPort and the corresponding configuration in Gateway
