Start all products.

Working in Composer

Step Task Go to procedure

Create a Folder

2 Create one or more Users
3 Log on to Composer with a user created in step 2
4 Create a CommNetwork
5 Create a HostGroup object for the Axway Server Host
6 Create a Host object for the Axway Server
7 Create an Axway Server object to represent Sentinel
8 Add a Sentinel CommAdapter to the Axway Server object
9 Create an Application object to represent Transfer CFT
10 Create a Channel to link the Application (Transfer CFT) to the Axway Server (Sentinel)
11 Import the Sentinel object package for Transfer CFT
12 Check the imported objects
13 Send the objects to a Sentinel Server

Working in Transfer CFT

Step Task Go to procedure
1 Verify that the Sentinel parameters were set during installation
2 If necessary, set the Sentinel parameters in the Unified Configuration file
3 Optionally, activate CFT configuration change tracking
4 Optionally, define the Event Router. If you are operating CFT on z/OS, create an overflow file.
5 If you modified any parameters, stop and restart Transfer CFT to register changes

Monitoring Transfer CFT events

After you configure Sentinel to track Transfer CFT processing events, you can use the features of the Sentinel Monitoring user interface to manage and view the information that you collect.
